Computers are being used in various sectors of development. Hardly has there any field where computers are not being used and by the use of computers, even the most difficult task for human beings has become possible. Some people argue that there is no need for teachers in the future. According to them, computers will take the places of teachers and computers will teach students in schools, colleges, and universities. What do you think of this? Do you really think this will ever be possible or it is just anybody’s hypothesis?
Well, I don’t know what your stand is but if you ask me then I would definitely say that I can’t agree with the idea that one-day computers will replace teachers.
I completely disagree that computers should substitute teachers. In this write-up, I will support my argument with relevant examples.
Firstly, teachers are independent thinkers and no matter how intelligent computers are, they can never replace teachers. Computers cannot be much smarter than the human brain. Let's not forget that the human brain is behind the invention of computers. Moreover, a computer is programmed but that is not the case with the teacher. Teachers can perform their responsibilities according to the betterment of students.
Another reason why I disagree is that computers are electronic devices but teachers are emotionally attached to the students. Computers are machines and they are not emotional entities. Teachers can change their plans and ideas depending upon the student's abilities, mental situation, and attitudes. As a whole, students can get a lot of benefits from teachers rather than computers.
On the other hand, there is an argument that computers have a broad amount of knowledge than teachers. They have much more data and information and presentation styles of computers are better. Computers can do many wonderful things in the field of education.
In
conclusion, the primary purpose of computers and teachers is to work for the betterment
of students. And this is only possible when they work together. Therefore, teachers
and computers should be complementary to each other, not the
competitors. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
