HOW ARE YOU PREPARING YOUR TEST EXAM FOR STUDY ABROAD?

I was excited to know how students are preparing for their IELTS at different education consultancies in Pokhara. This curiosity took me out of my cocoon and walked around the downtown of the Pokhara city.

Many students who aspire to go to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland and the UK for graduate courses need to take IELTS exam. However, it is highly advisable for students to do TOEFL, if they want to go to US for the higher education. With IELTS, SAT can also be done to get impressive scholarship...SAT exam is conducted in Kathmandu and Biratnagar.

So, want to know who are my guests today? Let’s find out. The other day I visited a few education consultancies and met with some students who were preparing for their test examinations.

I asked them a few questions related to their test preparation, future-plan and the subject they wanted to study abroad.

So, let’s find out what opinions they shared with me...here we go.

Sushmita Neupane
My first guest is Sushmita Neupane. Right now, she is preparing for IELTS at E-Planet Education consultancy. She has planned to study Information Technology (IT) in Australia.

When asked why she chose Australia for study abroad, she said, “There are a couple of reasons for choosing Australia for my higher education. First, Australian education has established its reputation as being one of the best in the world. For Nepali students Australia is an ideal destination for higher education, because there study a large number of Nepali students almost in all major cities. Nepali students will never feel lonely and alienated in Australia.”

Santosh Das
Now, let’s meet with Santosh Das. He is preparing IELTS at Miracle Institute. It is a little bit of surprise because when majority of students apply for Australia, Santosh Das has decided to go against the trend. He has decided to go to the UK for higher education. Is it not surprising?

“Not at all...It is not surprising because my genuine intention is to study and gain a degree. I do not intend to settle abroad and work there to win my bread. If someone wants to gain quality education then my opinion is to go to UK for higher education. One more thing I would like to add here. If someone wants to do a serious study of IELTS then my first recommendation is Miracle Institute”.

Anushkha Bhujel
Let’s meet with Anuskha Bhujel. She prepares IELTS at IMIS Education Consultancy. She wants to acquire a degree in Dental from Australia. “As far as my higher education is concerned, I have taken it very seriously. I did thorough study about my subject on internet before reaching to any conclusion. Now I’m in a position to say with confidence that for the study of Dental no other countries can be better than Australia for sure”, emphasized Anuskha Bhujel.

It seems Anuskha is very convinced about her decision. I think the research Anuskha did on internet has made her so confident. This is really a very good habit to spend little time on internet and collect necessary information. Many students depend on their consultancies even for minor information. Students should be little smart and they should spend more time on internet and dig out valuable information.

Shankar Shrestha
Sanskar Shrestha is currently studying IELTS at Alfa Beta Education Consultancy. Mr. Shrestha wants to study Mechanical Engineering in USA. Being a student of engineering his dream is to become a successful engineer in future and rendering his contribution for the development of Nepal.

“I don’t feel it good when Nepali students seek employment abroad. Developed nations have enough numbers of skilled manpower with them. They don’t need our services at all. However, it is my strong commitment to serve my country after the completion of the degree. Well, I’m convinced about getting a visa for US, because I had already been to US in the past”, said Shrestha.

Prakash Poudel
Currently Parkash Poudel is preparing IELTS at Grace Education Consultancy. Like many students, Mr. Poudel has also chosen Australia for higher education. When asked why he chose Community Mental Health subject to study abroad, he said, “For obvious reasons I chose this subject. Hectic lifestyle of modern time has increased mental illness across the world. Unfortunately, this number will further rise in the days to come. In a situation like this Community Mental Health will have more scope in future”, opined Poudel.

Nabin Gaire
Nabin Gaire is an IELTS student at Expert Education Consultancy. Gaire thinks that the future lies in Information Technology and he is right as well. The world has seen as well as experienced the wonders of IT. Many tasks, which were simply impossible in the past, now they have become possible with the help of IT.

“Many countries have taken galloping strides of success and it is all due to IT development. I think the present growth of IT is only a humble beginning. There are more to come in future and we will witness them”, forecasted Gaire.

Bijaya Sapkota
Bijaya Sapkota prepares IELTS at Unishala Education Consultancy. She wants to earn a degree in Information Technology (IT) from Australia. It is a general perception among the people that girls are not interested in a subject one like IT.

However, Bijaya Sapkota has proved it wrong, as she wants to carve a future in the field of IT.

“Australia is the 3rd most popular education destination among the international students. Most of my friends have chosen Nursing and many other subjects but not IT. Actually, my inclination towards technology is not new. Ever since I was in school, I began liking technology. I was always curious to know about the mechanism of every moving object. This particular nature coaxed me to take up Information Technology to delve out more secrets of science”, said Bijaya Sapkota euphorically.

Arsunchi Manandhar
Arsunchi Manandhar wants to study Nursing with all her sincerity and dedication. It is because Nursing is her dream career. “Nursing is not only a subject that I want to study, it is my passion” emphasized Manandhar.

At present, Arsunchi is preparing IELTS at Expert Education Consultancy. Arsunchi is a Nursing student and she wants to study in Australia.

“Australia is a very good study destination for the study of Nursing. Unfortunately, we heard some bad news about one college in Australia. Now what I have learnt that all students of the suspended college have been transported to other colleges and they have now no problem at all. Law and order in Australia is very strict, the rights of international students are fully safe and secured,” opined Arsunchi.

Kabita Pandey
During my interview with the students of different education consultancies, I met Kabita Pandey, the only student who wants to study Journalism.

“In the past there were very few female journalists in the country, but now things have changed. There are many popular female journalists in national media who work independently. Journalism has ample freedom to grow and to become a popular journalist”, said Kabita Pandey.

Kabita Pandey wants to study journalism in the US. She thinks the quality of journalism education is outstanding in the US. “Most of the successful journalists in the world had their education from the US”, said Kabita Pandey.
