GLASS COATED STOVES COULD BE MORE DANGEROUS THANK YOU THINK OF

Image
This is true. Not all glass top gas stoves are safe unless they are used with utmost care. Never keep hot objects on the surface of the glass-coated stove. Don’t spill hot milk or water on its surface. By LB THAPA Generally, it is seen that while working in the kitchen, more attention is paid to the safety of LPG gas cylinders. Many of us must have heard or read in newspapers about the terrible blast of cooking gas cylinders (LPG cylinders). Therefore, we try our best to keep the gas cylinders a little away from the burning stoves in the kitchens, is it not? I am sure you agree with me.   In fact, LPG is stored in heavy metal cylinders and they are relatively safe for the user unless a gas the cylinder is expired, leaking, or physically damaged.   However, the real danger is not from the LPG cylinders, but it is from the cooking gas stoves. Not all kinds of stoves are dangerous, but especially glass top stoves could be life-threatening. There are many brands of glass top stoves c

A plus two science student of St. Mary's School, Aasha is laden with tons of talents and self-confidence. She was convinced of her self-confidence more than her talent. Aasha thinks that it was her self-confidence that played a decisive role to win the crown of Miss Newa-2015.   At present Aasha is preparing for the MBBS entrance examination. It is also her dream to become a qualified doctor in the future. However, it does not mean that she will take art for granted. Meanwhile, at present Aasha has eyed Miss. Nepal title. She does not have an iota of doubt in her mind for not winning the Miss Nepal title. A DAY OFF IN BEIRUT, a memoir

A panoramic view of Beirut city from a posh area of Rabia. Photo: LB Thapa  By LB THAPA , in Beirut, Lebanon Beirut is a wonderful city and so are its people. The country has a rich history and pleasant weather with the wide-open sea that has allowed easy access to international trade. Lush green Bekaa Valley has enriched the farmers with large varieties of seasonal crops and vegetables. Most of the high mountains of Lebanon are covered with thick snow in all seasons. Such majestic mountains make dramatic backdrop for the city of Beirut.   Beirut bears the mark of prosperity but alongside deep scars of bloody war. Even today, while meandering through the heart of Beirut city, one can easily see the marks of assault rifles on some old buildings which are left unrepaired. There may be troubles in the country with roadside car bombs and conflicts on the borders, but still, the country is heading with economic development. In a situation like this possibly any country might have collapse

A VISIT TO JUNAGARH FORT, RAJASTHAN

Inside view of Junagarh Fort, Rajasthan, India. Photo: LB Thapa By LB THAPA , lately  in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India After staying a few days with the family of my younger brother in Delhi, I left for Mahajan, Rajasthan where my younger brother Lt. Colonel Sudhir Thapa was posted. I walked around the Mahajan area then one day I was taken for a tank ride. Of course, it was for the first time in my life and I was riding a tank…it was my lifetime experience. After spending two days at Mahajan, my brother made an army jeep available to take me to Bikaner, Rajasthan. Throughout the journey, I was accompanied by Yogesh Bhoite the driver in uniform, and an army, staff photographer. The army jeep drove fast through the desert, with no human settlement insight, and the road was straight. While our jeep was moving at its highest speed, I sporadically spotted several groups of deer sitting under the shade of bushes here and there. I saw foxes and jackals as well. “During the

Indigenous people of Nepal display their cultures on roadside. Photo: LB Thapa By LB THAPA This travel blogger was so lucky to be the part of a great cultural show where hundreds of thousands of indigenous people of Nepal took part in a parade in Pokhara, Nepal. Actually, I was not aware of such a large procession of indigenous people to be held. It was such a wonderful coincidence that when I reached Chipledhunga the procession was passing through the main road. The entire traffic was diverted to other directions so that the procession could walk freely on the road. In fact, I was not prepared for such a grand event; anyway, I swung into action to capture the whole event.    The procession was so long that I had to run across the length and breadth of the road to capture them in my lens. In the end, I was more than happy because I could capture as many photos as possible. When I looked those photos, they were brilliant. You are about to see those great pictures
